Our emergency services are for patients of our practice only. We regret we do not have the capacity to accomodate unregistered patients on an emergency basis.
However, if you are a registered patient with our practice, please follow this advice:
During normal working hours
Please contact the practice for advice, preferably by phone. We will ask you some questions about your problem and give you an appropriate emergency appointment slot. We will endeavour to see severe emergencies the same day.
Outside normal working hours If you are a registered patient and have a severe emergency that cannot wait until the next working day such as:
- trauma to your teeth
- severe facial swelling
- uncontrolled bleeding
- severe toothache that will not subside with painkillers
you can phone our practice and listen to the answer-phone message for further guidance. The dentist on call will either offer advice, or suggest treatment as problem more permanently upon our return.appropriate. If we are not personally able to take your call, we will have made alternative arrangements so that you can access appropriate services as required.
When we are away
If we are not available to deal with your problem personally, then severe emergencies will be dealt with by a colleague in whom we trust in a nearby dental practice. Again you will be provided with temporary emergency treatment, and we will permanently deal with your problem when we return
